The leather will not harden after being wet. The full Kevlar lining and rubberized Kevlar palms and finger tips enhance this glove's protection against heat and penetration of sharp or hot objects.

Keep in mind that these gloves are not just "compliant" they are 2007 certified. Many firefighting gloves are "compliant" - but only a few are actually 2007 certified. Don't be fooled, your hands are too valuable a tool.
