Part #: CB12 Saw bodies made from special alloy steel that enables strength and elasticity within the saw body. The steel contains high concentrations of carbon, which is hardened to 44 RC in order to maintain the high demands of the circular saw's operation. In order to produce high quality saw blades, the blades are straightened three seperate times during production. 1) before the bodies are cut by laser, 2) after the carbide brazing process, and 3) at the end of the grinding process. Heat treating (annealing) is performed after the saw bodies are laser cut. This avoids hardening of the area around the laser cut. If this step is omitted, the body of the saw blade could crack during operation. The tip seat is sandblasted in order to clean the seat and prepare it for the brazing process. Tension rings are pressed into the saw bodies in order to improve the resistance of the body to side forces. Different tensions are created for different types of saw blades, as well as various applications.
